Today….

Hello,my dear friends!

Here are some photos of the today’s street market…my stall is quite alike the one of February 15th but,despite that, I took some shots…

I sold some doilies,two owls,a mouse,a cup cake and a garland…well,the earnings were insignificant,I cover the cost of the place and can allow me to buy some yarn for a new project….but have decided to stop with markets for now…it isn’t worth so much work…I rather focus my energies on my Big man and my needs…in fact I crocheted some more grannies for my blanket project…

…and I’ll try to sew a tee next week…I know,I know,some nice fabric will be ruined….but a sacrifice is needed…

….I made myself a small gift today…. (stalls are dangerous…)….a small nice bracelet….

Changes…

Hello,my dear friends…. ❤

In the next two weeks my blog will be populated by to you already well known creatures…. well,only the colours,the size and the deacorations will slightly differ…

So…yesterday evening another mouse came to visit me…

He he … I’m always in good company recently….

Ok,I didn’t want to publish photos about because they were a present, which was given today,and now I can tell you that the circular needles were in action in the last two days… cotton fingerless gloves… here they are…. 😀

I felt free to be knittingly inspired by this amazing blog…..

Now I can say that I prefer working with circular needes and can store the straight ones…I’ll need more practice but I’ll eventually manage to knit well with them….Happy for the new discovered skill of mine I bought the circular needles of 6,00 mm gauge to continue the baby blanket for my future nephew…yeah,it’s a boy…. 😀 😀 😀 😀 My mum told me a few days ago…. 😀

The last colour is a nice old-rose…

The colours are not too bright and fits well together…nice and masculine shades and pattern…. he he …. 😀 ❤

…company…

Good evening to everyone out there,dear friends!

Today I was quite busy and must say that I’m quite tired now…well my hands hurt a little but …. oh! … handling hooks is not a business for everyone… 😀 😀 😀 well, don’t be too hard with me, I’m just trying to comfort myself a little… 😀

Being aware of how the day would look like, I went out this morning and bought a flower… I’d like to embellish my working place and make it comfortable…and think I did the right thing… 😀

Seeing that little of nature in my kitchen, some creatures came to visit me…so I’m happy to say that today I wasn’t lonely at all…

We had a nice chat and he told me that a good friend of his is coming to visit him here in town…

Mr.Mouse…a sweet inhabitant of New Zealand’s forests…..What a wild being…

This kind fellow brought a present for all of you,dear friends…

… a small heart to say thank you for reading this blog and being a very important part of this personal craft adventure …

Circular needles

Hello, dear friends!

Before starting to prepare the stuff for the next street market,I had a whim to be satisfied…a secret wish to learn to knit on circular needels…well,this afternoon I sweat a lot… literally…and have now my fingers hurt… 😛

LOL I have a lot of practice to do… I was musing that, since I’m obliged to stay at home, the best way to spent this time is to learn as many thing as possible by myself….with no professional courses for which I obviously don’t want to spent money and which usually cost too much and offer little…

Furthermore, I gave a go to the preparation for the market …Well,the crocheted goodies published in the previous posts are all for it but were the first samples…I had to see how both the yarn and the pattern would work…now the next steps are decided…so…

I’ll crochet hearts and owls thought as keychains…For now it seems that only they could work… let us see if it will be so…

Rainy (oh…don’t tell me,really….) day in Parma

Hello, dear friends!

As the title of the present post might actually suggest,we have rain and clouds here in Northen Italy today…yeah…again…. the only way to face a day like that is spending time in good company…

On the above photo,the owl seems big but actually I can easily keep him into my hand… him or her…haven’t decided yet but I have to find a way to distinguish genders of these creatures….like I have already done some time ago…

I crocheted a sample granny for the next blanket…

The pattern of this nice granny was given to me by a nice lady whose FB page I follow with great pleasure and suggest you warmly to pass by and have a look at her work.You’ll love it!

Ciao,Uncinetto e Mille Fili Colorati…. ❤

This wool yarn was given to me by my mum but unfortunately is not of good quality….there is a large amount of it so I decided,despite I don’t like it a lot, to crochet a blanket and after crocheting the first granny I realized that this will be its best use…

….. just because I have an awful need for colour today I’ll post the same granny photo again…oh…but there’s a pink hook peeking out… 😀 I love colourful pins and use them to make me feel good…

I made some progress with my baby blanket knitting 😀 …… 😀 …. 27 cm already…I have 138 stitches on needles of 6 mm gauge ….

The burgundy red is a bit dark… don’t like it a lot… it needs an outline… the other colours I have at my disposal are pink and bright blue…

I’m going to do stripes of different colour with the same design (I need to improve my cable knitting) and I must separate the edge from the inside of the blanket to highlight well each colour but also because the yarn shade change point turned out very badly… you can see that I’m a beginner by these kind of mistakes ….

This is the right side…

See what I’m talking about….I was thinking about crocheting a row of chain stitches all around with the bright blue…well,the blanket is for my brother and I still don’t know the gender of his not yet born child but I have to use the colours in a right way…if the baby will be a girl there are pink stripes in order to balance the situation…

The street market

Hello, dear friends!

It’s time to write about the Saturday’s street market and about the latest events…well,just one bad event… 😛 … First of all,I can’t stop thanking you all for your words of comfort and understanding,you are so kind and sweet,dear people out there!Well,let’s say that my firing was not so surprising…Italy,as many other European states like Spain,Portugal or Greece, is in a deep economic crisis with heavy consequences for simple people and workers….Unfortunately, there are many employers who take advantage of that bad situation and then happens what happened to me…I recovered from that hit but the problem is still there and is worse than a single bad experience…..I left my parent’s home when I was 18 and had lived alone for 12 years in Trieste….It was hard but I’d always seen a solution to any problem that could occur….Now,except moving in my parents in law’s home,I can’t see anything else….and that frightens me a lot…even the market wasn’t great, seen from the economic point of view….there were more outcomes than incomes….well,the incomes were insignificant….on the other hand,from a human point of view,it was great…my friends come to visit me and my stall,I met nice and kind (and very cunning ….have to learn a lot!!!!!) people and I was able to show a part of the stuff I’m capable to craft….

Friends,gifts,cards and more…

Hello,my dear friends!

How are you today?I hope you’re in the middle of the holiday fever and are intensely crocheting your Christmas gifts like me…in the today’s post there will be more photos than words because I have a lot to show to you.I’ll put a caption here and there just to built a little imaginary path…

I managed to send my first gift…it is shipped to Croatia….

A second greeting card is crafted… 🙂

My decoration technique must be refine,but the embryonic concept is good. The flowers of the card are the same of the below photo…

…and which pattern I found here… thank you Dellicious Crochet…I like these simple and sweet flowers so much! 🙂 I also like the idea of the Tricolore (the Italian flag) in this flowering version which I spontaneously engendered few days ago…It is simply cute 🙂 I find this ornament more suitable for my tree than others….Well,I confessed my love for crocheted flowers months ago… 🙂

The crocheting of mug cozies is at a good point,there are only two of them that have to be done… the following one is for one of my family members…

The following three,on the other hand,are for a friend of mine (ciao,Anto… 🙂 )…

These last three cozies are those which I crocheted the best…I really love the way I finished them off and I love love love love the heart shape buttons I bought yesterday afternoon at Non solo lana store.. 🙂 I know,the pattern is always the same,but I can assure you that it is so enjoyable and so fast to crochet and it is perfect if you have to do something quickly… 🙂 ah,what a nice view…

I love the view of my basket full of crocheted goodies… 🙂

I start to really enjoy knitting…

I know,I know,I oblige you to watch the same subject in four different shots but I can’t help myself and stop loving these two yarns.I had to buy more wool because the quantity of Drops‘ yarn I ordered was not enough. I decided to purchase a contrasting colour and make some stripes of different dimensions in the above bright grey shade.My shoulder hurts me less and the pain slowly disappears so I hope that I can work on the scarf more constantly in the next days…Can’t wait to have it finished!
