I need a break indeed…..

Hello,my fellow crafters and friends!

How are you?Are you in the middle of a crafting fever….? Me…. ? Sorry for being away for such a long while but…. well, this is how my kitchen table looks like lately……..

…..the appropriate word is CHAOS ……… and it is obvious that I need a small break before starting the second sock for my Big man’s uncle….. uhm,and some sleep too…… but in the middle of this mess I was able to craft and wrap my first gift….. Last week I was in Lucera, the town where my Big man is working and where I bought these two balls of Schachenmayr‘s yarn… (of course, one of the first things to do was to find a good haberdashery there…. 🙂 ) ….

….. and made a key ring for Katia….

….. some yarn for a yarnaholic is required ….

….. well,sorry ,I’m not good in wrapping….. 😛

So….. I’m not quite fresh right now to write about the time spent in Apulia (sorry,too much knitting….. ) but here are some nice shots I’d like to show you, just to say how beautiful Italy is…. well,this country surprises me so very often….

Recently….

Hello,my dear friends!

My life is quite messy lately and I didn’t have much time to blog about my craft…. well,changes are occuring but my Christmas to do list is a bit shorter…. 🙂 and I have even found some time for me…. just because…. 🙂

First of all,a small sneak peek in my gift keeping box….

….then….

….working with some new colours….

…..looking like an alien….

…. all that to knit a beanie for one of my two brothers….. I’ll start to knit the beanie for the second one tomorrow in the morning….

….. I’ve started to knit the front side of my Big man’s rib stitch sweater…

…. and have tried out a crochet heart pattern found on this nice blog… and made of it a key ring for me….

The heart is not one of my best works and has to be improved but I like it…. and feel good wearing it….

That’s it for tonight!Sorry to be so quick but, except being tired,I’m off to watch one of my favourite TV series…. Wallander

….. yeah,I started to like Swedish crime stories sooooo much……

Flower addicted…

Hello,my dear friends!

I wish you all a nice and peaceful day!I’m still a bit sleepy this morning and think another cup of coffee is needed….the coffee maker is on… 😀

First of all,I’m very glad that the film directed by Paolo Sorrentino, The Great Beauty,won the Academy Award, the category for the best foreign language film, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avHJvdRPmus&feature=player_detailpage . Rome, with its best and worst sides, is beautifully described and is seen through a pair of artistically decadent glasses….I loved a lot the main character, his surreal way of life and cynicism….the decay of the Roman high class is majestically highlighted….love love love it a lot. 🙂

Now,let’s change the subject and talk about craft….better flowers…I love flowers….oh,really….nobody understood that… 😛

Not only I like crocheted flowers….I saw these two cases and I had to have them…

What…addicted….who…me….?…. oh,no,no…it is not as it seems….it’s worse….!!!!

Fortunatelly,I don’t crochet only flowers,for your sake… 😀 …..

…. quelque fois, on travaille ton sur ton…

….on joue avec les aiguilles…

….et on crée un souris…

…oh yeah,yesterday,I also crocheted a heart…

…and an owl,too…

I really do hope that people will love the hearts,the owls and the mice….

My giant baby blanket is slowly growing….

Do you see any difference between the part knitted with straight needles (the blue one) and the one with circular needles (the old-rose one)….?

I have the feeling that the last part is a bit loose…but once finished it will be hard to notice the difference….or at least I hope so…anyway,one of the reasons I’m learning to use circular needles is depicted in the following photo….

I love that I can keep my work wherever I like with no fear to be pierced by my 6 mm gauge needles 😛  …. 😀

Good evening to everyone out there,dear friends!

Today I was quite busy and must say that I’m quite tired now…well my hands hurt a little but …. oh! … handling hooks is not a business for everyone… 😀 😀 😀 well, don’t be too hard with me, I’m just trying to comfort myself a little… 😀

Being aware of how the day would look like, I went out this morning and bought a flower… I’d like to embellish my working place and make it comfortable…and think I did the right thing… 😀

Seeing that little of nature in my kitchen, some creatures came to visit me…so I’m happy to say that today I wasn’t lonely at all…

…first…Mr.Owl came….

We had a nice chat and he told me that a good friend of his is coming to visit him here in town…

Mr.Mouse…a sweet inhabitant of New Zealand’s forests…..What a wild being…

This kind fellow brought a present for all of you,dear friends…

… a small heart to say thank you for reading this blog and being a very important part of this personal craft adventure …

And here they are….my fellows and my latest crochet goodies all together….tra la la………..

Hm…I love the kind of background my books make for my crochet photos… nice… Yes,I know,I know,I’m a bit long-winded and repetitive…. I humbly ask you to forgive me my being annoying…
