Hello,my fellow crafters and friends!
How are you?Are you in the middle of a crafting fever….? Me…. ? Sorry for being away for such a long while but…. well, this is how my kitchen table looks like lately……..
…..the appropriate word is CHAOS ……… and it is obvious that I need a small break before starting the second sock for my Big man’s uncle….. uhm,and some sleep too…… but in the middle of this mess I was able to craft and wrap my first gift….. Last week I was in Lucera, the town where my Big man is working and where I bought these two balls of Schachenmayr‘s yarn… (of course, one of the first things to do was to find a good haberdashery there…. 🙂 ) ….
….. and made a key ring for Katia….
….. some yarn for a yarnaholic is required ….
….. well,sorry ,I’m not good in wrapping….. 😛
So….. I’m not quite fresh right now to write about the time spent in Apulia (sorry,too much knitting….. ) but here are some nice shots I’d like to show you, just to say how beautiful Italy is…. well,this country surprises me so very often….

Good evening,my dear friends!
My Mum’s shawl is finished off….
I started something else for her,a colourful scarf knitted in feather and fan stitch but …. it didn’t appeal much to me so,as I mentioned in my last post, one sleepless night…. I found Nurmilintu … and fell so deeply in love… the rest of this love story is told by my photos …. this is my first lace knitting and I’m so happy that the shawl turned out so light and airy… and really do hope that my Mum will like it… 🙂

Hi,my dears!
I have surprised myself with a small project today, actually I crocheted the edging to another dish towel I put aside as Christmas gifts for my friends…. Surprised because I found myself being in love with a nice chart….
Eeeeeek……!!!!! FILET CROCHET LACE….. oh, no, no, I’m not sick at that point!!!!
My Mum is used to it not me!!!!NOT ME!!!

I have found the above chart so nice and I have decided to challenge my prejudice!!!! And here follow the photos with the result of my morning work…

A quick,easy and cheap crochet.You’ll need a really small amount of yarn for it, the remains of previous projects would be perfect 🙂 At first, the lace was thought for a towel of a nice deep pastel blue shade but I made a mistake…. instead of straching and pinning the lace I decided just to iron it (yeah,yeah,you’re right, I’m so lazy….) and I streched it too much….luckily for me,the lenght of my lace fits well the towel from the photos and I prefered to lose the neat outline of the desing but obtain an item of good proportions…
So…. what do you say? Does the lace look ok even if sewed on a towel of a bright colour? Is the overall look of my project contemporary and IN or is it better to leave the filet crochet to our Mums? Hope it is not because I’ve got an idea while crocheting the above edging which I’d like to realize…..

…. I bought some merino today……… oh,no,no,I couldn’t leave it in the store….It was on sale for 2.5 € par ball…. so….
I had some yarn left from my Big man’s beanie and thought that knitting a beanie for me with it would be nice…. but of course there wasn’t enough to finish it off so….. Catia put on sale some unsold stock and here I am with my yarn…. well,now I have enough for two…. one of them will be a gift for one of my three sisters in law…. 🙂 I love the colours moreover because,when I got home with my goodies,I realized that they are quite similar to those on Gotye’s album cover ….
….. which I like a lot,in particular this song… I enjoy every time I listen it….
I sewed on my Father in law’s beanie a small label…. of course,it’s crooked….
…but, please,do not judge me too hard…. me,needle and thread are still on fight….. 😛
….and… a friend of mine has his liar,at last…and a brown ribbon too….
…now he is ready to be given to his new owner…. 🙂
Have to say you bye because I’m hurring out to bring some cookies to friends…. 
…baked today during lunch time…. 🙂
