Cross stitch again…
Good morning to you all,my dear friends!
Surfing in Blogland I’ve found so many skilled people whose work I let myself be inspired by and, in particular, I’d like to mention Frilka, Pretty Little Things in a Box and My Rose Valley.Those three ladies make stunning handmade stuff and I warmly suggest you to pop in their blogs and enjoy their work and writing.
Well,thanks to them, I put aside hooks and knitting needles for a moment and took thread and sewing needle in my hand because there was a big need for a handmade bookmark at mine….
I like cup cakes…..yes,I really do….Well,still haven’t found the necessary courage for baking them because I was said that not always they turned out well….I’m in search for a good recipe and I’d like to ask you if you know any,let me know please…….but that doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy them in some other way….the one I embroidered looks quite sweet,don’t you think….?
Maybe my bookmark turned out a bit big,it’s more alike a card,but it doesn’t matter.I like the above cup cake cross stitch pattern, found on Pinterest (I do not know the author of the pattern,if anyone recognizes his or her own work,please,let me know!), but it turned out bigger than I thought so….again,it doesn’t matter,I like the final result. ❤ ❤ ❤ Now I have both my biggest passions linked together…. 🙂 …. and can see the sense of cross stitch embroidery….. I have a slightly feeling that I’ll do a lot of cross stitch gifts for next Christmas …. 😀 😀 😀

From idea to bag
Hello,my dear friends!
Today I managed to sew my first bag ever! 😀 I followed a tutorial found here and I made a nice beach bag for a friend of mine.Am I proud of myself….?Yes,I am…. 🙂 I’m surprised by the nice romantic look I was able to create and love the combination of colour and shape…. Roma,what do you think….?I really do hope you like it because you are a master in bag making! ❤ ❤ ❤

The BB weaveing in ends
Hello,my dear friends!
After the yesterday’s tour the force to finish the blanket,I took my time today and wove in ends with less rush but with the desire to show you my work as soon as possible… 🙂 … so…. here we are…. ❤
The BB turned out quite nice 😀 .It measures 85×110 cm,approx. 33×43 inces, and I really do hope that my Big man’s friends would like it….if needed,it could be used later,when the child grows up since th BB is big enough…. 😀 Well, I tried to make something that could last for a while….
After such a nice job I had a need to reward myself with something so…. 😀 This is a valid excuse for a small shopping session,don’t you think….? 😉

The last thing today,but not least at all, actually very important and of great relief to me…. I read a very nice post on BMary’s blog a few days ago and I’m still in with it,musing about the pleasant feelings she raised in me with…First of all,let me say that this girl is amazing!I love her blog,the way she tells her life and her work!She made a great job with her wedding dress and I loved her reasoning about the handmade stuff….her post is the right answer to my doubts about crafting raised by some people who do not appreciate my work…So,if you have any strange thought about crafting,check out BMary’s blog to find the right inspiration for keeping on with anything you’re in!
Now,after an intense knitting week….CROCHET!!!! I need to crochet right now….so…..

Baby blanket progress
Hello,dear friends!
So…having dinner almost ready (the spinach pie is in the oven,the mixed sallad needs only its dressing, the sausage will be cooked at the moment 🙂 by the BM) … and I have a few minutes to post the photos with what I have knitted so far….
Roma,what do you think? The yarn is soft and very pleasing to the touch and knitted in that way, with cables,the blanket is even softer… It measures around 54 cm long for 80 cm large, some thing like 21,25 x 31,40 inches ….. not bad up til now… 😀 😀 😀 Well,I made my mistakes when adding the yarn of a different shade but managed to solve the problem… 😀
The kind woman called Rossana,my big helper and advisor during the street market, gave me this nice threads today…
….so perfect for embroidery and by which I’ve already made my disasters…the result of my today’s embroidery was so poor and bad that I’ve chosen to not post the photos….so,for now ,I store these goodies…maybe one day I’ll be able to do something with them…
